Early 1920s Style Surplice Dress with Full Skirt with Inset Layers Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1921
McCall 2244
$350.00
This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates to 1921. Can't you just see this being a dress worn by one of the lovely ladies on the set of the early seasons of Downton Abbey or Mr. Selfridge? This dress has a V neck surplice front with your choice of View A -novelty sleeves with inset bands and pointed ends or View B- with plain long fitted sleeves. The pattern shows trim or binding to be used along the neckline, skirt side fronts and sleeve cut out. The skirt is aline and full. You may choose View A with front center insets and jagged points or more plain View B. The insets are strips of fabric sewn like a ruffle in layers which would be fabulous done in lace or contrasting colors! (Perhaps colors to match the trim?) This dress opens and buttons at the front waist. It is unlined and comes with a belt.
This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This pattern would be great in voile, linen, corduroy, crepe de chin, charmeuse, velvet, suiting or lightweight wool. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
Prices incude a budget of $12 per yard fabric max. If you want a more expensive fabric there will be an additional cost. Unsure about fabric and the total costs? Message me and we can discuss.
I will message you after the order is made and give you a list of measurements I will need to make your dream dress.
