1980s Style Cottagecore Renaissance Boho Gunne Sax Maxi Dress Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1981

This dress will be custom made for you using a vintage pattern dated 1981, using a Simplicity pattern designed by Gunne Sax. The pattern offers a gorgeous Renaissance revival maxi dress with a sweetheart neckline with a raised back neck. It laces up the front and the pattern suggests using ribbon or lace to make stripes along the front bodice. The front waist is slightly pointed at the center and is to be trimmed in ribbon. The sleeves are full bishop style and call for lace to be inserted vertically. The skirt is gathered and full with a ruffle bottom and lace trims. I've seen true vintage versions of this style done often in contrasting colors and fabrics such as velvet and lace which looks amazing! Gunne Sax designs usually go crazy with the colors/textures and trims. You may order this in the shorter below the knee or maxi length. This dress is unlined. It zips in the back.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The pattern suggets soft cottons such as voile, gauze, batiste, dotted swiss, eyelet or rayon challis, chiffon, lace, or crepe de chin or velvet. This outfit is so versatile though, it would look fab in almost any fabric really. Just let me know what you have in mind and I will find the right fabric for you.
