1940s Style One Piece Swimsuit Dress with Flaired Skirt and Beach Coat Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1948

This adorable one piece swimsuit will be custom made for you using a pattern dated 1948. It features a flattering gathered bust with a fitted waist and flared skirt. It ties at center front bust. It is constructed in two layers, the outer layer being the as you see it as a swim dress. The inner lining layer is a bodysuit/romper with elastic at the leg cuffs. The suit zips in the back. The optional beach coat  has a wing collar and is loose fitting. It has a large pockets and is full and swingy in the back. It has a single button at the neck. It is unlined.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The pattern suggests this to be made out of lightweight cotton - Perfect for novelty prints! I can also make this out of modern swimsuit fabric if you prefer. The beach coat would be good made out of cotton, pre quilted cotton, linen or terrycloth. This set is so versatile though, it would look fab in almost any fabric really.
