1940s Style Gathered Surplice Bust Dress with Optional Princess Coat Custom Made in Your Size From Vintage Pattern 1940

This dress will be custom made for you in your size and choice of color using a vintage pattern that is dated 1940. It features a deep V gathered surplice neckline with shoulder gathers. This design looks great in contrasting fabrics! The sleeves are 3/4 length with full pleated caps and darts along the forearm. The skirt is very full four gore with raised waistline in the front. Optional decorational buttons may be used on the midriff. Zips on the side. This dress is unlined and comes with a belt.

The coat is optional. It is a princess style with a lapel collar. It has plain long sleevs with darted caps. The skirt is full with deep patch pockets. The pattern doesn't call for any closures except for the belt but I can add hooks at the waist if you wish. It is fully lined.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The dress would be great in rayon crepe, rayon twill, cotton, linen, seersucker, georgette, crepe back satin, lightweight wool. The coat I can make in lightweight spring/summer fabrics such as twill, chino taffeta, satin or gabardine, or heavier winter weight wool if you prefer. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!

Note- The coat made of heavy weight fabric will cost extra to ship, especially outside the U.S.
