1940s Style Dress with Radiating Exposted Darts and Asymmetrical Gathered Skirt Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1946

Vogue 5752

$295.00

This dress will be custom made for you in your size and choice of color using a vintage pattern that dates to around 1945-1947. It is a classic mid 1940's design which features a flattering fitted bodice with a high 'jewel' neclkline. (High necklines were meant to show show off necklaces in the 1940's.) It has radiating exposed darts on the left side of the bodice. Your choice of 3/4 gathered or long sleeves with big shoulder pads and a dropped sleeve line at the pits. The skirt is a basic style, not as fitted as a pencil but not as full as an aline. The highlight of this dress are the asymmetrical gathers on the left side. Zips on the side. This dress is unlined and comes with a belt.

If you are looking to buy a copy of this awesome pattern you can! It is available to buy from the Lady Marlowe Pattern Shop.

This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would work great in summery fabrics like cotton or rayon challis (novelty prints would be great for this!) or warmer fabrics for winter like cotton back satin, satin crepe, rayon crepe, wool crepe or gaberdine. (Can you picture this in a solid black satin for a femme fatale effect?) This dress is so versatile that it would look fab in almost any fabric really. Just let me know what you have in mind and I will find the right fabric for you. (100% silk or 100% wool would be at an additional cost.)

Prices incude a budget of $12 per yard fabric max. If you want a more expensive fabric there will be an additional cost. Unsure about fabric and the total costs? Message me and we can discuss.

I will message you after the order is made and give you a list of measurements I will need to make your dream dress.

Since this is made to order please allow 14+ weeks for delivery.
