1920s Style Robe de Style Scoop Neck Drop Waist Dress with Optional Hoop Slip Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1923

 The Robe de Style...my favorite 1920's style frock! This design is associated with Lanvin, which is characterized by its dropped waist and wide skirts designed to resemble court dresses of the 18th century. This 2pc dress and hoop slip set will be custom made for you using a pattern dated 1923. Based on the classic Jeanne Lanvin style, this dress features an over dress and a separate slip dress that is horizontally boned for maximum fullness.

  The dress features your choice of a plain scoop neckline or a scalloped bertha collar. The bodice is drop waist with darts at the front waist for a little waist definition. You may choose plain short or long bell sleeves. The skirt is gathered and you may choose to have a straight or scalloped hem. The pattern suggests using a contrast color bias trim along the edge of the collar, cuffs and skirt hem. This dress buttons in the back and is unlined.

 The optional slip is a tank style with shoulder straps. This is what gives the Robe de Style it's signature shape! It has a dropped waist bodice with horizontal front bodice darts. The skirt is a full gathered rectangle with boning channels at the hip level to give maximum fullness. It closes on the left side with snaps/hooks.

PSA- The last 3 pictures are of known antique dresses in this style. Your dress and slip will be sewn from the pattern listed, Standard Pattern 4071. 

This dress set will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would be perfect in many fabrics like voile, georgette, challis, charmeuse, lace, moire, shantung, crepe de chin, organza, satin, crepe back satin, velvet, velveteen. The slip would be ideal in silk charmeuse, rayon bemberg, crepe de chin, or taffeta. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
