1920s Style Robe de Style Scoop Neck Drop Waist Dress with Hoop Slip Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1923

 The Robe de Style...my favorite 1920's style frock! This design is associated with Lanvin, which is characterized by its dropped waist and wide skirts designed to resemble court dresses of the 18th century. This 2pc dress and hoop slip set will be custom made for you using a pattern dated 1923. Based on the classic Jeanne Lanvin style, this dress features an over dress and a separate slip dress that is horizontally boned for maximum fullness.

  The dress features an upper yoke with your choice of short capped kimono sleeves (see view B) or long sleeves with a slit opening at the side seam (see view A). (This would be amazing in a contrast color or sheer fabric!) You may choose a plain scoop neckline or a scalloped bertha collar. (see view C) The bodice is drop waist with gathers at the lower side seams. This dress would be lovely with a contrast upper yoke in lace or a contrast fabric with matching skirt tiers. The skirt is gathered and you may choose to have a solid fabric skirt or contrast/lace layer inserts as shown in the illustration Views A and B. View C shows a lovely scalloped hem. The over dress opens at the left side seam with snaps/hooks and is unlined.

 The slip is optional, but it is what gives the Robe de Style its signature shape! It is a tank style with shoulder straps and has a dropped waist bodice with horizontal front bodice darts. The skirt is a full gathered rectangle with boning channels at the hip level to give maximum fullness. It closes on the left side with snaps/hooks.

PSA- The last 3 pictures are of known antique dresses in this style. Your dress and slip will be sewn from the pattern listed, Standard Pattern 4071. 

This dress set will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This would be perfect in many fabrics like georgette, challis, charmeuse, lace, moire, shantung, crepe de chin, organza, satin, crepe back satin, velvet, velveteen, I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
