1910s Style Open Front Shawl Collar Dress with Peplum Custom Made in Your Size From a Vintage Pattern 1918
Butterick 1019
$450.00
This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates to 1918. These older dresses are usually made up with several layers, I'll do my best to describe it. It features an open front kimono cut bodice with a wide shawl/sailor collar. It has a sewn in pleated modisty panel 'vestee' that can be made with a high neck, Edwardian style collar or lower cut straight across like a camisole. The bodice has an inner layer lining. Your choice of 3/4 plain sleeves or long sleeves with a pointed 'loop' edge and fitted cuffs. The underskirt is a more narrow style and the over skirt is pleated and full. The illustrations suggest using contrasting fabrics or colors for the bodice/peplum and skirt which I think looks great! The addition of trimming such as lace, ribbon or appliques would be lovely along the collar, hem or sleeves. This one closes in the left side front and side skirt. It comes with a tie sash belt.
This will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. This dress pattern would be great in cotton, linen, velvet, silk, suiting or lightweight wool. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
Prices incude a budget of $12 per yard fabric max. If you want a more expensive fabric there will be an additional cost. Unsure about fabric and the total costs? Message me and we can discuss.
I will message you after the order is made and give you a list of measurements I will need to make your dream dress.
