Butterick 1550
$450.00
This dress will be custom made for you in your size using a vintage pattern that dates to 1919. There is a lot going on with this one, I'll do my best to describe it...The bodice is kimono cut with a scoop neckline, made to look open in front with a sash collar. It has a sewn in 'vestee' or mock camisole at center front. The back bodice has a separate draped panel that hangs down a little bit below the waistline. This one has an optional bodice lining. Your choice of 3/4 wide sleeves or long sleeves with gathered cuffs. The skirt is in three layers, an underskirt that is long and rectangular and two pointed asymmetrical over skirt panels, one in front, one in back. This would be fabulous done in contrasting sheer/opaque fabrics and added trim/appliques as shown in some of the illustrations. It closes at the front bodice between the left princess seam and vestee with hidden snaps/hooks.
This dress will be custom made for you to your measurements. Since it is made to order I can make it out of any fabric and color you want. The pattern suggests summer weight fabircs such as- cotton voile, organdy, batiste, dimity, handkerchief linen, dotted swiss, pongee, crepe de chin, georgette, challis or a mix of different fabrics. I can make this in any fabric you want, it is up to you!
